What I found at EdenFantasys - Review

EdenFantasys has clothes as well as candles and makeup. Just in time for the Christmas and New Year's Eve parties, they've added this gorgeous dress. Made from polyester, this mini dress will be the perfect party-dress!! It also comes in black and sapphire as well as the red. This gorgeous mini dress is available in small, medium, and large.

I found some body lotion I'm eyeing. Right now I'm not sure whether I'll keep it for myself or give as a Christmas gift. It's the Hi Light Luminous Body Lotion - Shimmer. This lotion is made from shea and mango butters and aloe vera oil, making your skin soft with a pearlescent and luminous glow.

EdenFantasys has a Double Dipped Lip Balm that looks yummy. It comes in four flavors: Fleur de Sel - milk chocolate/salted caramel; Frozen Banana - dark chocolate/banana; Black and White

Cookie - half vanilla/half chocolate frosted cookie; and Cherry Cordial - milk chocolate/black cherry (shown at right). Personally, I'm debating between all four.

I found several sex toys I want. The Touche Ice Small - Egg and the Tenticle Magic Twisty - Vibrating Probe are just two of the toys I think my husband and I will enjoy.

Now she’s met Kent. He’s everything Clay wasn’t: funny, stable, and eager to please her. Just as he’s about to propose marriage at a romantic dinner, Clay arrives and tells Eden she can’t marry Kent. She’s still married to him. He never signed the divorce decree. Even more earth-shattering than this news is that he’s never stopped looking for Brianna. Based on a tip, he thinks their daughter is in Bluebird, Texas, at a youth ranch. All five little girls there are the right age, but he’s not sure which is Brianna.

To discover the truth, the couple becomes counselors to the girls at Bluebird Ranch. They move into small quarters in the bunkhouse and oversee the kids as they try to find out more. As they work together, their love for the children grows and their love for each other is rekindled. But as danger closes in, Eden and Clay realize they’ve been lured to this remote West Texas location; their lives and the lives of the little girls are in danger. But as Eden learns, “hope does not disappoint.

My thoughts: I really liked this book. Unlike a lot of books, this one kept my attention throughout the entire story. This was one book that I could not put down! There was a lot of action and emotion. When a couple loses a child, it is extremely hard to continue as a couple. Though they did break up, end the end Clay and Eden get back together. They show that even through the bad, good can come out in the end.

But I Don't Wanna Take A Bath Book Review and Giveaway

But I Don't Wanna Take A Bath! is the first in A Mike and Tyke Series of children's picture books based on the experiences of the author's children and grandchildren. Mike, his dog, Tyke, and his friend, Bud, splash and play all day in a mud puddle. As the day comes to an end, Bud goes home. Mike and Tyke are reluctant to go inside because they don't "wanna" take a bath!

My Thoughts: As an avid bookworm, I am always eager to review children's book titles and was so glad for the opportunity to review Mildred Pope's first novel. The cover, being brightly colored quickly grabbed my grand-daughters attention.

The twins did somewhat better than the youngest one. Of course, all three agreed with Mike and Tyke about not wanting to go in because they don't "wanna" take a bath either!! That makes this the perfect bath-time book!

One dragon, Magnar, finds humans on another planet he calls Darksphere, captures several of them, and forces them to drill through Starlight’s crust in order to release the gas. A man escapes and returns to the planet of humans. He tells everyone about the missing people they call the Lost Ones and how they went through a portal to a dragon planet. Since the portal doesn’t always work, he is unable to prove his story, and nearly everyone thinks he is crazy or maybe he murdered the others.

One hundred years after the initial enslavement, Adrian Masters, a 24-year-old expert swordsman, sets out on a journey to find the portal to the dragon planet. He is accompanied by Marcelle, a sword maiden of amazing skill whose ideas about how the operation should be carried out conflict with his own. Adrian believes in using stealth and cunning to free the slaves, while Marcelle opts to take a more direct approach. This causes friction between these two warriors, though they respect each other’s skills highly.

When Adrian and Marcelle find the slaves, they learn that these longsuffering people have no memory of their origins, making them reluctant to believe the two would-be rescuers, especially since the dragons crush any opposition to their cruel tyranny. Undeterred by the overwhelming obstacles, the two warriors set out to free the slaves and face mortal danger at every turn. As they battle dragons, endure torture, and dispel superstition, they learn that an ultimate sacrifice is the only way they can bring liberty to the oppressed.

My Thoughts: Normally, I enjoy books like this; however, for some reason, I couldn't seem to stick with this one. The storyline is good.

Tiger Hills - Book Review

But then a devastating tragedy occurs that chages the fate of all three -- an event that will have unforeseen and far-reaching consequences for generations to come.

My Thoughts: This is a good book. When you're young and you follow your heart, you never know how it's going to affect the future. Not just your own future but everyone in the family.

The Good Daughter - Book Review

Darznik skillfully weaves the stories of three generations of Iranian women’s battles with husbands and poverty into a unique tale of one family’s twisted path to freedom.

My Thoughts: Good book. This book has come out in a time we are learning more and more about life in Iran and other countries, especially concerning the lives of women. I can't imagine suddenly learning about my mother having lived in such a life and my not knowing before growing up.
